Relationships grow when people spend time together. This collaborative class can bring a unique spin to any gathering. Spend some time learning the tangles and then contribute to one Zentangle art piece. These tiles can be displayed in a common area, given as a gift to a friend or loved one, or used as a team building activity for you and your colleagues.

Birthday Party

This birthday was themed "Bollywood". The birthday girl loves elephants and her sister wanted to incorporate a drawing of one into a collaborative Zentangle tile. I drew the elephant and background string ahead of time and brought it to the party.
During the party I did a short Zentangle Basics class, which enabled everyone to learn the tangles and take home a finished tile. Toward the end of the party everyone mingled and took a few minutes to complete a tangle or two in the large Opus tile for the birthday girl. After the party I took the Opus tile and added some finishing touches to create the piece you see here. Below are picture of the party! This collaborative work was done on a large "Opus Tile". |
Bachelorette Party

What a special gift! I was thrilled to be apart of this! The Maid-of-Honor approached me to create a collaborative Zentangle gift for the bride from her bridal party.
I created the background string (a heart) across 9 standard tiles, one for each person (7 bridesmaids, the Bride and myself). I taught a short Zentangle Basics class, then each bridesmaid and the bride created a Zentangle tile, using the pre-strung tiles. After the class, I finalized the heart and fit them all together like a puzzle into what you see here. On the back everyone wrote a special note to the bride, which added a special touch. This collaboration was placed in a glass "Opus Tile" frame, where both the front and back of the tiles can be viewed. |
